| Our crew was happy, but bored with the beginning of the trip, but then found food and water on an inhabited island. The natives told of all the obstacles ahead and warned of impeding dangers. Then, the weather started getting rough, the lightening was starting to roar and the thunder was beginning to light. Captions note: the crew responds more to man made commands than to verbal commands. After finding a place to portage we leaped into our covered wagons and raced to cover. The crew is a much better mood now that we have made it to land, and can enjoy the riches of the day’s bounty of food and Spirits provided by the natives! |

| Captains Log 0701200791628: (Umm, that is Sunday at 4:28 Pm) The next morning 2 crew members had abandoned our group, but found 2 others as replacement. We began our day’s journey without the help of native guides as we survived the Class IV Miracle Mile and stopped to freshen up after Frog Rock rapid. A crew member jumped out of the vessel at Silver Bullet rapid, but we fished him in and told him he if he tried to abandon again we would string him up. Downriver a Hugh obstacle choked the river with small passages on either side. Afterwards we found the natives named this house rock and it is better to take the right channel. Too late, we were upside down and swimming. Fortunately we dumped into a large pool where we regrouped for the rest of the journey. |
